Remembering Bluester: Our Whippet the Whoppet
At Personalised Birthday Videos, we know our pets are so much more than just animals. They are the heart and soul of our homes. I believe in capturing those funny, loving, and quirky personalities that make them such an important part of our family.
Our story starts with Blue. He was a Whippet but with some Greyhound in his family tree, so he ended up a lot bigger than most. We started calling him our Whoppet and the name just stuck because it fit him perfectly.
Blue absolutely loved being comfortable and he really hated being cold or wet. In the winter he became a bit of an expert at finding warmth. Whenever the tumble dryer was on, you would find him with his head right inside the opened door and in the summer, the sunniest spot is where he would lie. If you ever saw a big mountain of blankets moving, you knew Blue was curled up in his own secret little fort.
He was a total diva at heart. I still laugh about the time he ran into the lake full of excitement, only to freeze the second he realized he was actually wet. He stood there looking so shocked and perfectly still, just waiting for one of us to come and rescue him from his soggy situation.
Whether he was running at full speed chasing the elusive hare or just demanding a cuddle, Blue brought so much happiness into our lives. We miss his beautiful smile every single day, but I am so incredibly grateful that his big spirit and all those silly moments are captured forever in our film.
